We are currently looking for a Senior Engineer Manufacturing Support on a permanent basis based in our global headquarters in Macquarie University. This role is to provide technical leadership in Manufacturing for targets to be met and to implement improvements in the Manufacturing areas to optimise efficiency and support continuous improvement of the manufacturing operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides the first point of contact for Manufacturing on yield, quality and throughput issues
  • Provides solutions to identified production problems
  • Analyses Manufacturing rejects as required to reclaim where possible, identify, and rectify root causes of rejects.
  • Ensures NCR’s, and Concessions are processed accurately and effectively
  • Ensures adherence and compliance to the Quality System and relevant regulatory bodies
  • Identifies opportunities for safety, quality and cost improvements on the Manufacturing lines

Key Requirements:

Minimum

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering. Prefer Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aeronautical, Biomedical or Mechatronics.
  • 3 years+ experience in a similar Manufacturing role within a highly regulated industry
  • Experience in working within a Quality Management system
  • Proven competencies in problem solving, design, manufacturing / business process development and personal influence

Ideal

  • Experience with project management tools
  • Medical device industry experience and an understanding of GMP
  • Process knowledge and experience
  • Experience in working within Manufacturing Management system (e.g. LEAN)
