Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Senior Engineer – Mechanisms & Glazing in the CAE Department to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel.

SUMMARY:

The role involves delivering engineering design solutions, from concept to production, and validation for body closures, including doors, access panels, seals, latch mechanisms, window systems and aid in the nominating of existing propriety systems and components.

• Support for BOM, including mass information.
• Creation of CAD models, component drawings, assembly drawings, exploded views, installation drawings and data packs, including FMEA’s and DVP’s, to support project requirements, in accordance with quality acceptance standards.
• Support the ‘fit and function’ evaluation of subsystem components.
• Support the performance testing of subsystem components.
• Collating of test results and concern reports.
