JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Investments – Settlement & Advisory teams in Private Bank (TDI) develop and support applications related to the settlement and regulatory reporting of securities transactions of our clients. Regulatory changes to reporting as well as changes related to market standards are usually announced at short notice. The quality and stability of the applications are therefore as important as the timely delivery of the functionality.
Our agile DevOps model gives us the flexibility and efficiency to introduce new functions for our clients, while also ensuring high quality. Working from our locations in Germany and India, we use agile and virtual methods along with the diversity of our team, to drive our goals of function delivery, process improvement and internalisation of engineering.
As a senior engineer working on functional analysis, you will collaborate closely with business and functional units, product owners and the development team. You will support the modernisation of our application landscape with your engineering knowledge and add to the team with your business analysis and communication skills. You will work to a significant extent with agile tools (JIRA/Confluence) and practices in the context of the digitalisation of the Deutsche Bank.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • University degree in information technology, mathematics, engineering, business management or similar and significant professional experience
  • Experience in the analysis of functional requirements related to settlement of securities transactions including depository/custody, administration, processing as well as settlement of securities.
  • Practical experience with methods and tools of business and functional analysis
  • Knowledge of Cobol, SQL (Mainframe), CICS is important; knowledge of Confluence and Jira is desirable.
  • Knowledge in the area of Zentralverwahrer (Central Securities Depository) (CSD) and Zentraler Kontrahent (Central Counterparty Clearing House) (CCP) as well as experience with SWIFT-message standards (ISO 15022 & ISO 20022) would be an advantage.
  • Proactive team player with proficiency in English. Knowledge of German would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • As part of the development team, you are responsible for the functional analysis of various business requirements, especially using epics und user stories.
  • You ensure integral development of the target processes and derive corresponding requirements for adjustments/changes/customisation.
  • You focus on the functional and technical design as well as the documentation of user stories for the sprint and release.
  • You work closely with the developers to harmonise the functional and technical requirements as well as the target architecture effectively.
  • You actively support testing and make a valuable contribution towards achieving technical best practices and quality standards, as defined.
