Description:

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent its in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Avionics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or a related role. In the alternative, must possess at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Avionics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or a related role would be acceptable.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience in embedded software development and verification.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience developing software using programming languages such as C, C++, Ada or Python.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience in avionics industry.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of DO-178B/C development experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Conduct and coordinate moderately complex tests for control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary research in assisting equipment designers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software to develop software engineering activities.
  • Analyze system capabilities and determines end user needs to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition to ensure current and future needs of the business are met.
  • Ensure hardware and software standards are met.
  • Design and implement build procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and use.
  • Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
  • Train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards.
