WHAT YOU BRING

• Excellent coding skills in C
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to debug issues with low-level embedded software, custom/proprietary code and enhancements
• Bachelors with 6+ years of relevant industry experience, or Masters with 4+ years or PhD with 1+ years in field of wireless communication technologies.
• WLAN standards, domain knowledge of Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11) MAC protocols and Firmware
• Knowledge of OFDM, OFDMA principals, beam forming and RF concepts will be additional advantage.
• Understanding of QoS concepts and data path optimization algorithms.
• Understanding of the Linux Operating System, kernel and device driver development.
• Ability to use various debugging tools such as wireshark, testing tools such as WFA test beds, version control tools such as git.

Reports to: Senior Staff Engineer, Manager

• Work with WLAN chipsets, devices and protocols, including other networking devices
• Collaborate with wider teams to automate processes, build software infrastructure tools and applications, build and maintain production quality software/firmware
• Design and develop modules in embedded firmware for Samsung’s Wireless Connectivity solutions
• Major focus will be implementing, unit testing and fixing issues various features of 802.11 MAC.
