Description:
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and at least 5 years experience Senior Engineers to join our small dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and/ or Aerospace engineering, with expertise in design, manufacturing and testing. This role will involve leading various engineering projects, developing innovative solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of complex engineering tasks.
Must be Canadian citizens or Permanent residents. P.Eng. preferred.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s , Masters , Ph.D degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred. Must be from very good universities.
- Proven experience in mechanical and aerospace design and system engineering, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Strong mechanical and aerospace knowledge with the ability to design and fabricate components as needed.
- Be very hands on.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with CNC machinery and its operation.
- Experience with logic controllers and automation systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components using NX, Inventor, Ansys, Star CCM. CFD analysis in various areas.
- Create detailed schematics and drafts for manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with a small project team to define system requirements and specifications.
- Extreme speed to full scale testing. Relaxed approach has no place at Space Engine Systems.
- Fabricate prototypes and conduct testing to validate designs against performance criteria expeditiously.
- This is not a Monday through Friday 8 to 4.30 job. Major commitment will be required.
- Utilize CNC machinery for precision fabrication of components is an asset.
- Implement logic controllers for automated systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Provide technical guidance through the shop.
- Troubleshoot design issues and propose effective solutions to enhance product performance.
- Maintain documentation of engineering processes, designs, and revisions.
- Maintain AS 9100 D Aerospace certification standards. Prior training in this area is an asset.
