Description:
SENIOR TRAFFIC ENGINEER
Our client is looking for a Senior Engineer to join their Traffic Engineering team in North London.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer to take the lead in development, review, design and consultation of a range of schemes to support developments where funding has been secured through s106/278 agreements.
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of highways, traffic and transport-related legislation, as well as an understanding of the current planning, sustainability and economic agendas which influence delivery.

Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
- To develop solutions to highway, traffic and transport-related problems.
- To be responsible for feasibility studies, detailed design and delivery of schemes.
- To liaise and work with internal and external clients.
- To plan, programme and deliver projects in a timely and effective manner.
- To adhere to all council procedures relating to project work
- To write project briefs, draft reports, and provide information for presentations to the public and councillors.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:
- An understanding of the principal responsibilities of the location government and the public sector in respect of highway, traffic and transport design and management.
- Experience and knowledge of highway-related safety legislation and practice.
- A thorough understanding of relevant highway management legislation and statuary duties.
- A record of successful and consistent delivery or traffic and parking schemes
- Possession of a relevant professional qualification and suitable experience
