Why this role is important for us
At SimCorp, we assist numerous major global financial institutions by streamlining their investments, accounting, and operational processes. Connectivity API is a product area within SimCorp’s Product Division which delivers integration capabilities and communication frameworks (REST API, messaging, eventing, infrastructure and hosting) to enable integration scenarios and data flows for our applications suite. This is an opportunity for you to be part of the technology area to support our integration, and service framework development to enable Open Platform strategy as well as modernize connectivity tech stack.

What you will be responsible for

  • Lead two teams of 6-8 software engineers each
  • Build a stronger team by investing in the growth of current members and recruiting fresh talent
  • Establish, maintain and seek for continuous improvement in engineering practices
  • Work closely with Product Management to ensure balance of team health, planned delivery, production quality, and improvement/modernization
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams and cross-functional units
  • Facilitate the day-to-day work for the scrum teams, being responsible for the team performance and business deliverables
  • Support initiatives to share knowledge across teams through demos, meetups, and working groups
  • Providing input to the strategic direction of the product area

As an Engineering Manager, you will be a part of Engineering Managers community, reporting to Director of Engineering

What we value



  • 3+ years’ experience in managing engineering teams (as, i.e. team lead or development manager)
  • 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, preferably in distributed systems and platform engineering
  • Previous experience with growing teams and delivering complex projects
  • Expert in processes: Agile, SDLC, Release Management
  • Great people manager: you know how to appreciate achievements, motivate, coach, give feedback, retain, and create culture people to share and follow
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal
  • You work effectively across a big, international organization and at different levels
