WHAT FUNCTIONS WILL YOU PERFORM?

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Project Manager, reporting to the Head of Renewable Gases to join our Team in Budapest.
New colleague will lead and manage biogas and biomethane projects from inception to completion from technical side in Hungary. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical and operational aspects of biogas and biomethane projects, ensuring they meet timelines, budget, quality, and safety standards.
This position requires an in-depth understanding of renewable energy technologies, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, close cooperation with Biogas/Biomethane Department.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of biogas/biomethane projects (including design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operation).
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Oversee the engineering design and integration of biogas/biomethane systems. Provide technical guidance and ensure that design meets all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers. Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Monitor and control project risks throughout all phases of the project.
  • Lead and support internal project teams, ensuring that roles and responsibilities are clear, tasks are effectively delegated, and performance goals are met.
  • Ensure all biogas and biomethane projects comply with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as local, regional, and international standards.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones. Provide regular project status reports to senior leadership, highlighting progress, issues, and solutions.
  • Evaluate project performance and recommend process improvements to enhance future project delivery.
