Job description
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development and execution of our electrolyser separation system, with a particular focus on the gas washing system designed to remove electrolyte droplets from oxygen and hydrogen streams. This position involves a combination of theoretical analysis, practical testing, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure optimal system performance.
Responsibilities:
Design Optimization: Challenge and enhance current designs by developing alternative solutions and optimizations through theoretical analysis, calculations, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), testing, and literature review, while engaging in discussions with subcontractors.
3D Modeling Guidance: Provide clear instructions to the drafting team for the creation of 3D models, ensuring all constraints are considered, including process functionality, system integration, instrumentation, manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, and compliance with relevant norms and standards.
Client Specification Analysis: Thoroughly analyze client specifications to ensure all requirements are met in the design and execution phases.
Technical Documentation Preparation: Prepare comprehensive technical documents for Requests for Quotation (RFQ) related to pressure vessels and their internal components, such as distributors, packings, demisters, and baffles, in accordance with John Cockerill requirements, applicable norms, and client specifications.
Subcontractor Offer Evaluation: Analyze technical offers from subcontractors to ensure alignment with project requirements and standards.
Engineering Oversight: Monitor the detailed engineering processes conducted by subcontractors to ensure quality and adherence to project timelines.
Manufacturing Inspections: Participate in inspections at manufacturer workshops to verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
Cross-Disciplinary Support: Provide support to other disciplines within the project, including assisting the project manager with client clarifications and inquiries.
Norms and Standards Analysis: Review international norms and standards to assess their applicability to our products and adapt designs as necessary to ensure compliance.
