Description:
Would you like to join one of the leading Asset Managers in Europe? We are now looking to strengthen the Nordic, Finnish and Swedish Equities team with a Senior Equity Analyst or Equity Analyst. In Helsinki, we also provide a possibility to work as a Portfolio Manager assistant.
Nordea Asset Management (NAM) is the center of investment management in the Nordea Group and in the Asset & Wealth Management division. NAM is the largest asset manager in the Nordics with the vision of being a leading European Asset Manager. We want to do this by delivering returns with responsibility. NAM has around 900 employees and AUM of more than EUR250bn.
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:
- Have at least 3 years of previous work experience from analysing equities, either from the buy or sell side. Your previous work experience will determine the roles level of seniority.
- In-depth experience from analysing companies and conducting financial modelling e.g. DCF models and other valuation techniques.
- Are used to communicating your thinking around equity investments.
- A higher education degree, for example in Finance.

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- As an equity analyst you will perform in-depth research on companies listed in the Nordic region and support the Portfolio Managers in making investment decisions.
- This requires both desktop work e.g. financial modelling and meeting with executive management teams and experts operating in various sectors across the globe.
- You will produce both oral and written research to communicate your views to the team and other stakeholders.
- In Helsinki, you would also have the possibility to support the Portfolio Manager on Finnish Equities, with various portfolio related tasks with the aspiration to develop into a co-Portfolio Manager.
You’ll join one of the leading Nordic buy-side research teams filled with motivated people working closely as a team, aiming to deliver outperformance to our clients. The team of 12 investment professionals is located in both Stockholm and Helsinki.
TO DO WELL IN THIS ROLE, WE BELIEVE THAT YOU:
- Have a deep interest for equities and believe it is possible to create excess return through successful stock picking.
- Are motivated to learn new business models and industries frequently with an ambition to develop into a Portfolio Manager over time.
- Have a high interest in fundamental equity research and understanding of business models, with a framework for capturing the true value creation within a company.
- Great communication skills in English, with an enthusiasm for presenting your research, conclusion and knowledge to others.
- Enjoy working in a team as our investment process is highly iterative between team members. We believe that the success of the team creates a multiple on peoples individual performance.
