Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Senior ERP Readiness Consultant to join our team. This role involves evaluating and preparing higher education institutions for the successful implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of higher education operations, information technology practices, and experience in managing ERP implementations. This role requires a strategic thinker who can guide institutions through the readiness and evaluation process, ensuring they are fully prepared for a successful ERP deployment. They will conduct comprehensive readiness assessments, provide strategic recommendations, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition to new ERP solutions.
Key responsibilities involve:
- Facilitation Skills: Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions with diverse stakeholder groups, ensuring that objectives are met, and all voices are heard. Skillfully guide conversations to achieve consensus and drive action. Engage with client executives.
- Provide Project Leadership: Serve as the lead consultant on ERP readiness projects and ERP strategy engagements, managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
- Conduct Readiness Assessments: Evaluate current systems, processes, and organizational readiness to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities in preparation for ERP implementation.
- Conduct Functional and technical Fit-Gap Analysis: Conduct detailed fit-gap analyses to compare current institutional processes and systems against the capabilities of proposed ERP solutions, providing recommendations for customization or process adjustments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including academic departments, administration, IT, and finance, to understand their needs and expectations from the ERP system.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze data on existing workflows, software, and technology infrastructure to determine readiness and areas requiring improvement.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and a roadmap for ERP implementation readiness.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and obstacles in the ERP implementation process and develop mitigation strategies.
- Training Needs Assessment: Identify training requirements for staff and faculty to ensure a smooth transition and adoption of the new ERP system.
- Change Management: Develop and support change management strategies to help the institution adapt to the new ERP system.
- Collaboration: Work closely with ERP and system implementation vendors, project managers, and internal teams to align readiness activities with the overall project timeline and goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in higher education and ERP systems, applying this knowledge to improve consulting services and client outcomes.
