Job Description
After successfully delivering the balance of plant on the largest wind farm in the Southern Hemisphere, Acciona Construction QLD are continuing to grow in renewable projects. As such we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. We are looking for someone with experience in Civil, Electrical or both.
This role will involve providing quantity take-off and estimating support for various projects, developing and maintaining standard estimating processes, and ensuring accurate and efficient proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and check tender documents to assess scope, identify risk and provide feedback
  • Formulate direct and indirect tender costs from first principle estimating methods into CCS Candy estimating software.
  • Provide area-specific forecasts and report project status.
  • Source subcontractors & suppliers capable of complying with tender
  • Obtain/ assess quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors, designers and prepare schedules for labour, plant, material and sub-contractor costs and comparisons.
  • Revise estimates and implement necessary changes.
  • Participate in pre- and post-bid meetings as required.
  • Log proposals and tenders into the estimating database for tracking and historical purposes.
  • Organise & present to Senior Managers for tender cost & method review and complete approval process prior to submission.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong organization and planning skills with the ability to coordinate resources effectively.
  • Proactive approach with a focus on initiative and innovation in work processes.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities, fostering efficient working relationships.
  • Proficiency in Estimating Software (Candy), Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in Electrical or Civil Infrastructure
  • Ideally electrical estimating experience in Substations, LV, MV and HV Systems.
