Description:
An opportunity has arisen to join SimplyBiz, the UKs largest provider of outsourced support to financial advisers, as a Senior Event Executive.
You will be part of the Group’s central events team who are responsible for the delivery of the industry’s largest event programme. Alongside the Head of Events and Event Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of our event programme, hosting some of our key events and supporting the overall running of the wider programme, ensuring high standards are maintained throughout.
This role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract. There is flexibility to balance remote working as required and due to the nature of the role, please note that you will be required to travel throughout the UK to attend events.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing specific projects of the SimplyBiz events programme, ensuring their smooth running and that high standards are maintained
- To support the Head of Events and Event Operations Manager, as required
- To host key events both physically and virtually
- To establish working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders including Members, Product Providers, Hotels and event venues
- Managing our hybrid events platform to livestream sessions and connect in-person and virtual attendees
What you’ll need:
- Previous experience organising business events
- Knowledge of the financial services industry
- To be process-driven, have the ability to prioritise, be highly organised and have a keen eye for detail
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be capable of working to tight deadlines
- To be able to work on your own initiative as part of a small team
- The ability to delegate where necessary
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
- To be a self starter with a professional and enthusiastic attitude and a dedicated approach to achieving the best possible result
- Full driving licence
- Willing to accept that extensive out of hours support may be required at times
