Description:

OVERVIEW:

The Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing operational support to the Emergency Department’s Operations team. He / She will coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the smooth running of the team and to meet staff needs in accordance with prevailing guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operations Support
  • Consumables
  • Manage supply of MMD stocked and non-stocked items.
  • Procurement of non-stocked items.
  • Record keeping of all consumables.
  • Suggest adjustment of par level based on usage trending.
  • Equipment & Accessories
  • Liaise with BME to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance of equipment.
  • Assist with procurement of equipment.
  • Procurement of equipment accessories.
  • Assist with annual fixed asset sighting of equipment.
  • Assist to arrange for condemnation of equipment.
  • Assist with arranging for demonstration or training sessions for new equipment
  • Process Improvement
  • Work with Nursing and Ops colleagues to identify opportunities to improve processes

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Minutes-taking
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the reporting officer.
