Description:
OVERVIEW:
The Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing operational support to the Emergency Department’s Operations team. He / She will coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the smooth running of the team and to meet staff needs in accordance with prevailing guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities:
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operations Support
- Consumables
- Manage supply of MMD stocked and non-stocked items.
- Procurement of non-stocked items.
- Record keeping of all consumables.
- Suggest adjustment of par level based on usage trending.
- Equipment & Accessories
- Liaise with BME to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance of equipment.
- Assist with procurement of equipment.
- Procurement of equipment accessories.
- Assist with annual fixed asset sighting of equipment.
- Assist to arrange for condemnation of equipment.
- Assist with arranging for demonstration or training sessions for new equipment
- Process Improvement
- Work with Nursing and Ops colleagues to identify opportunities to improve processes
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Minutes-taking
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the reporting officer.
