Senior Executive Engineer (Mechanical)

Duties

• Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
• Independently carry out Conceptual, Basic, Front End Engineering Design and detailed engineering of Mechanical Static/Rotating equipment and API storage tanks/Pressure Vessel for bulk liquid storage terminal, LPG, chemical and cryogenic tanks.
• Perform API storage tank/Pressure Vessel design calculations, PV vent sizing
• Prepare, Tank data sheet, Tank drawings, Technical Specification, Material Specification, and requisitions, etc.
• Control of design information for tank engineering exchanged with other disciplines, vendors, and clients.
• Development of Scope of Works, Invitation To Bid, RFQs and Evaluations.
• Compilation of Technical and Commercial Bid Evaluation (TBE & CBE)
• Attend, comment and witness equipment performance tests during Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities.
• Vendor document review and evaluation
• Site survey and preparation of reports
• Design review and interdisciplinary coordination
• Review of EPC construction specifications, detailed design calculations and drawings

Requirements

• Education:
• Bachelor degree (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University
• Required experience:
• Min seven (7) years in carrying out Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Engineering of Mechanical of Static/Rotating and Tankage/Pressure Vessel, gained in the field of Oil & Gas – bulk liquid storage terminal, LPG, chemical and cryogenic storage tanks
• Experience in storage sphere tanks, and/or aviation fuel storage tank and/or LNG terminal/floating storage design experience will be an added advantage
• Conversant in Static and/or Rotating Mechanical Equipment, Storage Tanks, Pressure Vessel, Air Compressors, Product Pumps and packages, fire-fighting pumps and equipment, marine loading arm, etc.
• Familiar with related industrial codes including ASME B&PV, API, ANSI, ISO, relating to equipment mechanical design.
• Proficient with vessel & tank design software
• Familiar with other related technologies including metallurgy and welding techniques.
• Proficient in Micro Software Suites, and AutoCAD, PV elite, etc.
• Experience in Testing & Commissioning and Operations will be an added advantage.
• Strong interest and experience in Energy Transition and Transformation, will be an added advantage
• Strong writing skills, verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to be an independent problem solver
• Team player and ability to work with and manage clients and contractors will be an added advantage.
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic
