SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRE:

• Expert in job area obtained through advanced education and work experience
• Experience managing projects or processes with limited supervision
• Ability to identify and translate business requirement into Processes and IT capabilities
• Understanding business requirements and the impact of requirements on process execution
• Good knowledge of:
• Global Forwarding processes and systems around Airfreight, Ocean Freight and Brokerage
• Operating CargoWise1 focus on the area of Forwarding and Brokerage
• In depth country customs knowledge required of EU, NZ, ZA, CA, US, TW or AU preferably current or previous customs clerk.
• IT landscape, IT systems capabilities and integrating systems
• Forwarding Industry in the area of Ocean Freight or Airfreight or Brokerage
• Ability to identify trends and support with potential solutions and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders and their different interests, being customer and business orientated
• Fluent in English
• Relevant Degree preferred
• Certified Project Manager preferred
• Minimum 5+ years detailed forwarding business process knowledge/experience

PURPOSE:

Support the design and implementation of solutions by transforming raised business requirements into processes and solutions and supporting project across all stages with the Transportation Management - Solution and Process Design Core Products team, ensuring that the solutions as defined are delivered by the different IT Application Management teams as first class, affordable and flexible Core Product tools used globally

TASKS:

• Business Requirements, IT Product Roadmaps & Priorities Planning
• Support the design solution and implementation plans for the assigned business requirements raised in the Transportation Management domain, ensuring legal and fiscal compliance as well as compliance with DGF Steering Logic Principles, the goal of productivity maximization and error elimination
• Manage and content ownership of projects within the Transportation Management domain
• Ensure documentation of requirements and testing specifications based on input from stakeholders
• Run testing in collaboration with test teams and field users
• Conduct documentation and training surrounding newly delivered processes as required
• Identify and proposed solutions to resolve Transportation / forwarding scenarios
• Identify and proposed solutions to resolve customer-specific Transportation / forwarding requirements
• Identify and proposed solutions to resolve country-specific legal and fiscal Transportation / forwarding requirements
• Provide documentation and training surrounding newly delivered processes as required
• Support in the resolution of incidents (INC) raised by end users (level 3 support)
• Process Design
• Maintain the global level 1-4 process for the application / processes in scope
• Support the design of new processes for new capabilities aligned with all stakeholders
• Collect feedback on the usages and effectiveness of the published processes and implement ways to increase usage and effectiveness
• Align and propose solutions to optimize with other “processes developers” a common / standard of way of publishing level 1-4 processes
• Document with the different IT Application Management teams the changes required to existing IT solutions while ensuring new developments are in line with the overall direction of the Transportation Management Roadmap
