We are looking for an experienced full-time Senior Fabricator to join our team! Our busy steel fabricating shop requires a highly motivated individual who is familiar with structural and miscellaneous metal installations to oversee the day to day running of our facility and yard. We fabricate and install structural and miscellaneous items such as columns, beams, stairs, canopies, railings, and brackets – virtually anything for the construction industry in the commercial and light industrial space. Reporting to our Operations Manager, you will be responsible for all the fabrication work needed for all of our projects.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED)

· Minimum 10 years Fabrication experience on structural & miscellaneous metals
· Red Seal fabrication ticket
· Welding Supervisor ticket
· Active CWB tickets MCAW/FCAW
· Aluminum and Stainless experience
· Reliable transportation and valid BC Driver’s License REQUIRED.
· Flexibility with working overtime and weekends.
· Experience working in a shop with an ERP system preferred

· Schedule:
o Work closely with Operations Manager to develop work schedules for jobs
o Deliver finished product to meet project deadlines
o Coordinate daily tasks of team members to meet project deadlines and priorities
· Quality Control:
o Develop project quality control procedures
o Implement quality control standards in the shop
o Address any customer issues and complaints on a timely basis
· Inventory and Equipment:
o Ensure inventory of materials maintained to meet project needs
o Ensure maintenance and replacement of equipment as required
o Make plans for new equipment purchases to meet growth needs of company
· Policies and Procedures:
o Enforce health and safety policies in the shop and yard
o Train and mentor employees as needed
· Fabrication:
o Complete fabrication of jobs as needed (this will not be your primary responsibility but when things get really busy, we need all hands on deck)
