Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
Gymshark are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic Retail Property team as a Facilities Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is to liaise with key stakeholders to manage business expectations, oversee the maintenance and operations of our London based flagship store and further upcoming retail facilities nationwide/global, ensuring all facilities are in line with H&S regulations, operationally functional, and aesthetically pleasing inline with Gymshark brand standards.
The Retail Facilities Manager will be responsible for coordinating with Store managers & Staff, overseeing and managing facilities contracts, coordinating repairs, maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
This role requires excellent communication skills, strong real time problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to key stakeholder and facility management.
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Proactively manage planned preventative maintenance including scheduling and performing regular inspections, servicing, and repairs to retail facilities including fixtures & fitting and/or equipment as required to prevent breakdown, minimise downtime, and ensure optimal store performance.
- Foster positive relationships with retail store managers and staff, addressing their facility-related concerns and providing timely solutions in line with predetermined prioritisation. Align on schedules and ensure efficient cross functional maintenance operations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as retail operations, tech, legal, and finance, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of instore facility management activities.
- Review existing processes, develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for all retail facilities.
- Manage and supervise facilities maintenance contracts, including sourcing, training, and KPI evaluations.
- Coordinate and oversee repairs, and maintenance, ensuring all works are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular inspections of retail facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and potential improvements.
- Conduct regular training sessions for retail store staff on facility-related topics, such as safety procedures and equipment operation.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to obtain quotes, negotiate contracts, and ensure quality workmanship.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, invoices, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Monitor and manage facility budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with local, national regulations.
