Our Commercial Finance team operate in a fast-paced, ever-evolving and inherently complex industry. We have built a commercial partnering capability where our teams are embedded in the business, providing a ‘seat at the table’ for all critical business decisions through analysis, business case assessment and driver-based planning and forecasting.
We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Sports & Corporate Commercial Finance team, a pivotal function within our business.
You will be supporting our Corporate office (Communications, HR and Finance) and our Sports Production business, who are Australia’s largest producer of live sports, and known for quality and innovation in its production, outstanding commentary and on-air talent.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, Sports & Corporate, you will be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining deep, trusted relationships across the Sports Production and Corporate functions, as well as with the finance team and the broader business.
  • Developing and managing cost forecasts, ensuring they align with overall business goals. Prepare and manage budgets, providing variance analysis and actionable recommendations.
  • Support senior management with regular financial reporting, offering insights to inform decision-making
  • Continuously analyse business performance, identifying variances between actuals, budgets, and forecasts
  • Tracking business performance, delivering data-driven forecasts and budgets that help shape and drive the strategy of the Sports Production and Corporate divisions.
  • Identifying opportunities for improving financial forecasting, budgeting processes, and pinpoint transformation opportunities to ensure continued efficiency and competitiveness in an evolving industry landscape.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • CA/CPA qualified with 4+ years of experience in a Commercial or Financial Analyst role. Experience from Big 4 or professional services firms highly desirable.
  • Exceptional ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders, including Corporate Executives, and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial data to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to translate financial insights into actionable, strategic recommendations that drive business outcomes.
  • A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, taking ownership of tasks and delivering results with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled at managing multiple competing priorities, balancing tight deadlines, and remaining focused on what matters most to the business.
  • A proactive collaborator who works seamlessly with colleagues across the business to achieve shared objectives and drive collective success.
  • A deep passion for media, sports, or entertainment – we believe that knowing the product and the customer is key to success in this role
