These businesses supply direct to mining companies and manufacturing suppliers to the mining industry.
MolyCop’s raw material feedstock strategy incorporates a range of supply options including domestic sourcing, as well as importing 800KT of steel bar and other traded products. The Singapore procurement/ trading office is responsible for the sourcing and supply of our imported bar needs.
The Singapore Finance Team will support Molycop’s procurement/trading functional team in Singapore by providing financial analysis on the KPIs of the business and ensure all financial and business administration matters are managed effectively. This includes delivering monthly financial results, preparation forecasts and business plans, ensuring tax compliance, banking and effective treasury management
Key Responsibilities

  1. Month End Closing & Reporting:
  • Manage full delivery of monthly financial closing for Singapore entity
  • Prepare corporate financial reports
  1. Financial Performance and Analysis:
  • Prepare monthly forecasts
  • Assist in yearly Budget exercise
  • Analyze financial data and perform variance analysis
  1. Tax Compliance and returns:
  • Review and file GST and withholding tax
  • Support Corporate tax returns and tax queries
  • Support Global Trader Tax Incentive tax audit and survey
  • Support Transfer pricing audit
  1. Statutory reporting and Audits
  • Support financial audit
  • Liaise with internal and external Auditors
  • Prepare statutory survey

Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
2. Min 8 years of relevant working experience in MNC environment
3. Strong technical accounting skills, including detailed knowledge in IFRS, group reporting, forcasting, budgeting and FP&A
4. Experience in trade financing and shipping terms is a MUST
5 . Experience in ERP systems eg SAP, MS D365 is a MUST
6. Taxation knowledge – GST and WHT
7. Experience in managing and working with internal and external auditors
8. Proficient in MS Excel
9. Effective communication skills in engaging people across the business
10. Self-starter, work independently and able to balance multiple competing deadlines
11. Meticulous, willing to learn, believe in continous improvement, independent and self driven
