Responsibilities:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst for the Public Affairs Finance Team. This team is responsible for providing proactive leadership and consultative support to enhance business intelligence and drive improvements in processes and in alignment with overall function and company objectives.
In this role, you will:
- Lead processes for budgeting, forecasting, close reporting, cost allocations, and analysis.
- Focus on high quality interactions with the business and strive for transparency with partners to provide exceptional strategic support
- Strategic advice - focused articulate key messages and insights, along with credible challenge, informed by strong business knowledge.
- Develop and evaluate solutions across a wide range of financial challenges
- Leader engagement - active interactions, with mix of communications frequency, method and content based on leader scope, complexity and tenure; balanced to both inform and challenge.
- Forecast/Budget/Business reviews - meaningful updates, timely and efficient execution, relevant and focused business review materials and other leader reporting.
- Develop strategies and make recommendations for forward financial planning
- Expense analysis and reductions - researching and analyzing headcount, personnel costs, third party spend, travel and other costs that provide insights for supporting and influencing leader decisions.
- Synthesize accurate information from financial data and summarize critical points in a clear, presentation-ready format
- Indirect expenses & allocations -reporting and analysis (incoming and outgoing); assessment of drivers for improved clarity of controllability. Understand current methodologies, impacts, taxonomy, services, and review & update as appropriate across all of Public Affairs.
- Risk management - proactive adherence to policies and practice, including Models/EUCTs, legal entities, records retention, accounting/accruals, required training, etc.
