Mō te tūranga | About the Role
Reporting through to Head of Finance within our Commercial Partners team, as Senior Finance Analyst, you will support the Head of Finance and the broader Commercial Partner team through the provision of timely, accurate and insightful information and advice.
Additionally, you will be responsible for:
- Providing financial analytical support to the business in achieving its financial targets both in strategic & management terms through the delivery of data led insights, variance analysis and commentary explaining the core drivers of the financial result.
- Reporting of the financial performance of the relevant business division (against forecast, target and prior comparable period) and assist in the delivery of the forecasting and planning process.

Interested candidates will enjoy working in a team, have fantastic time management skills, be a strategic thinker and possess a proactive approach to their work. Equally important are your interpersonal skills, strong business acumen, task prioritisation, attention to detail and a result focused attitude. This role will see you liaise with a number of internal and external parties so your proven ability to engage, influence and build strong relationships will be key to your success in the role.
You will possess:
- Strong Accounting and GL knowledge
- Advanced excel skills
- University degree in Finance or Accounting
- Be CAANZ/CFA qualified (or equivalent)
- 3-5 years’ previous financial services or listed company experience (preferred).
- Well-rounded experience in Finance/Accounting functions combined with strong commercial experience and perspectives
- Prior experience in IBM TM1, IBM Planning Analytics and PowerBI considered a plus
