Description:

EDAG Engineering UK is a small but growing collaborative team who are currently focusing on some key UK Customers whilst at the same time having access to large multidisciplinary teams globally. Within the group, we are over 8500 employees located across the world whose core business is to provide engineering solutions to major automotive companies and their suppliers.
We are looking for a Senior Finance Assistant to join the team. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our continuing expansion. This role is based in the heart of the automotive industry at EDAG’s facilities in Royal Leamington Spa.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Educated to Degree level in Finance, Accounting or other relevant area.
  • Good understanding of the principles of accounting.
  • Experience of operating an accounting system, preferably Xero.
  • Knowledge of payroll software preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgement and maintain the highest degree of confidentiality regarding all aspects of work at all times.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to pick up new programs quickly.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Organised and proactive with the confidence to plan priorities whilst knowing when to escalate for support or guidance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple business demands and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming and outgoing invoices and credit control.
  • Manage petty cash, expenses and payroll including payments.
  • Create purchase and sales orders in the accounting system (Xero).
  • Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis and update cash-flow weekly.
  • SAP reporting productivity numbers and financial statements.
  • Manage financial projects.
  • Renew and track car insurance and private medical insurance.
  • Other adhoc finance tasks as reasonably required by your manager.
