REQUIREMENTS

  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and process
  • Basic knowledge of Portuguese compliance and filing requirements preferable
  • Familiarity with NetSuite preferred
  • Organisational and time-management skills
  • Someone who can think 2 steps ahead. Proactive approach and can ask the right questions. Follow through on tasks.
  • Focus on improvements: what can we do more efficiently.
  • You have strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Flexible and willingness to learn new tasks
  • BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Experience with billing/invoicing preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (within the team and external)

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE - WHAT’S YOUR PURPOSE?

Signal AI, the A.I.-powered platform for corporate reputation and risk intelligence, is hiring an Finance Associate to take ownership of the day-to-day functions of the finance team. In this pivotal role you will act as the Global Payables and EMEA Receivables functions, and aid the team with administrative duties.
Salary Band: €30,000-€40,000

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES - WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

You’ll work with the business to:

  • Billing and collections for EMEA customers, building the credit control process to decrease average days to collection
  • Ownership of the global payables, including managing supplier relationships and updating our cash forecast upon payment
  • Assist with Group treasury management, forecasting receivables and payables, ensuring our currency requirements are met
  • Review of commercial quotes for finance approval - liaising with the commercial and legal teams to ensure preferable terms
  • Updating NetSuite accounting software with details of sales orders, reviewing revenue recognition against our internal policies
  • Month end reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of our management accounts
  • Assistance on group audit
  • Ad-hoc Project work particularly relating to automation and efficiency in our use of softwares
  • Ad-hoc reporting and cost analysis
