Description:
Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be supporting a growing, successful oil service company to hire a Senior Finance Coordinator on a full time, permanent basis. Working within a large finance team this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant / Senior Finance Coordinator looking to take their next step within a growing business. The role will be based from our client’s office in Turriff, Aberdeenshire with hybrid working, career development opportunities and an excellent benefits package on offer.
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will be an experienced finance professional, with experience working in an SME environment. Would suit someone qualified by experience or looking for support towards their professional accounting qualification.
Essential:
- HND or similar with previous relevant experience in a similar environment
- Ability to manage a range of priorities and deliver to deadlines
- Excellent organisational and time management skills including prioritisation of tasks
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong IT skills, with experience of Microsoft Packages (Excel)
Desired:
- Experience of processing payroll and/or working with an outsourced provider
- Experience of Sage 200, Oracle NetSuite or C-SAM
Responsibilities:
As the Senior Finance Coordinator your role will involve a broad range of responsibilities across management accounting, project accounting, financial analysis, compliance, systems and payroll. Duties will include:
- Preparation, reporting and analysis of monthly accounts and other financial information at the level of projects, divisions and statutory entities
- Review and consider drivers of monthly performance, including ensuring that costings and allocations are appropriate
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis with back-up schedules
- Provide support to the Management Accountant which will include maintaining accounting system. Facilitate timely financial reporting to the Head of Finance and operational department
