We are seeking a Senior Finance Officer to play a critical role in coordinating and managing funding arrangements that support state, regional, and local outcomes. Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Finance Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating major initiatives under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) and other funding channels. You will oversee the day-to-day financial administration of these arrangements and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective funding allocation and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and project managing financial administration tasks related to DRFA and other funding programs.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with local government stakeholders to enhance awareness of DRFA protocols, entitlements, and claims processes.
  • Ensuring the funding prioritisation framework is robust, compliant, and meets stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to maintain accurate impact assessments and continuously improve processes, templates, and guidelines.
  • Preparing high-level advice and reports to support informed decision-making by stakeholders.
  • Administering philanthropic and additional funding streams to ensure targeted and policy-compliant allocations.
  • Drafting correspondence, reports, and briefs in alignment with agency requirements.
