We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant on a permanent basis to join us on our mission. This position report to the Senior Finance Manager.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- ACA/ACCA qualified with 3+ years’ post qualification experience & proven technical expertise in US GAAP and Irish GAAP (FRS 102) and also the preparation of Irish GAAP (FRS 102) statutory financial statements.
- Level 8 Honors Bachelor’s Degree (240 credit) in Finance, Business or relavant area.
- Advanced excel skills with a willingness to continue to advance their skills in this area.
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills required.
- Role would suit experienced financial accountant with strong controls mindset, analytical skills and a proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.

Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE
Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements and audit/controls.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completion of statutory financial statements for a number of Irish incorporated entities. Liaise with external auditors and corporate groups to ensure timelines are met. Effectively research, assess and conclude upon the impact of GAAP changes for these entities.
- Development, documentation and testing of internal controls to ensure appropriate mitigation of identified process risks. Contribute to the successful completion of the annual SOX 404 program by taking ownership for the timely and effective documentation of process narratives, test plans and the performance of testing for assigned cycles.
- Monthly US GAAP financial reporting, income statement and balance sheet preparation, related financial analysis and balance sheet reconciliations for a number of entities.
- Contribute to the completion of annual statutory tax returns and other Irish Revenue filings.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors as part of their US GAAP, statutory and SOX controls audits.
- Completion of other external statutory reporting requirements, including VIES, Intrastat and CSO reporting.
- Other – daily cashflow forecasting, periodic review of activities performed by our shared services centres.
- To build a continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail into all aspects of the role.
