Responsibilities:
Our Oceania Financial Services (OFS) division provides the business with financial information and astute analysis to enable effective decision making across Canon Oceania. In addition to implementing and monitoring financial controls for accounting, treasury, and taxation, OFS identifies opportunities to drive long-term, sustainable business performance.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the integrity and value-add of our accounting information by overseeing critical processes and fostering collaboration between Offshore and Onshore teams and Business Units.
Scope of the role includes:
- Ensure the Offshore Team completes tasks efficiently and accurately for General Accounting, by reviewing outputs, initiating coaching workshops, and maintaining strong engagement with Onshore staff across the business.
- Work closely with the Offshore Team and Business Units during the month-end process to ensure accurate and timely reporting, including interpreting and analysing financial information and finalising month-end.
- Manage elimination entries with the Offshore team and review Oceania Group consolidated monthly management accounts.
- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure adjustments are completed accurately and on time.
- Partner with selected Corporate Services managers for monthly accounting and budget requirements.
- Quarterly provision analysis for inventory.
