Description:
REQUIREMENTS:
You must be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, Chartered, ACCA) with good technical experience. It’s a very collaborative environment, and you must be willing to fall in and help within a strong team environment.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role
- Experience working in a complex accounting function to strict reporting deadlines -essential
- Thorough knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization
- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with large Accounting ERP Platforms – Oracle NetSuite is a plus
- Experience working in Big4 account firm would be advantage
- Motivated self-starter who is detailed, results and process oriented.
- Organized individual with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high performance standards.
- Superior problem solving and analytical skills and ability to work in a highly visible, deadline-oriented position and environment.
- Experience with US tax
- Experience with IFRS 15 Revenue Recognition and how to apply to different contracts
Responsibilities:
OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Escher is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join its Group finance team in Dublin. This role will have exposure to all entities and locations in the Group, Ireland, USA, Canada, UK, Singapore and Malaysia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support & Ownership of the semi-annual internal audits and year-end financial audit activities at the Group and Statutory levels
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to:
- Accounts payable, Fixed Assets, Intangible Assets, Intercompany Transactions, Intercompany Funding & Loans and standard general ledger activities
- Manage month-end close activities
- Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
- Experience delivering process and control enhancements
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
- Supervise and manage accounting team members and monitor and support the delivery of their responsibilities
- Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
- Ability to work across the department and organization to produce required deliverables for financial & corporate reporting processes
- Support with regulatory filings as required
- Maintain relationships with external service providers
- Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
- Handle daily and monthly administrative duties, along with contributing to project work.
