ACCOUNTING and COMPLIANCE

• Responsible for ensuring statutory accounting and tax compliance requirements are met for the company with a focus on South Africa
• Responsible for ensuring all accounting month-end activities are completed as per the global accounting calendar
• Facilitate the process of analysis and approval of annual FS, tax returns, and other financial and compliance reports
• Ensuring accurate reconciliation of statutory financial statements with the group GAAP reports and ensuring compliance with the local IFRS
• Working with local BPOs to ensure high-quality statutory compliance management and resolution of any significant compliance matters
• Co-ordinate and facilitate the annual financial audit process for the local and group audits
• Prepare and provide detailed relevant information for all BEE strategic initiatives
• Monitor and resolve all SARS queries including tax audits to ensure compliance is maintained

FP&A

• Assistance in preparing periodic management reports which contain key information for decision making process, such as analysis of historical financials, variance explanations, updated forecasts with risks and opportunities, KPIs, etc.
• Working with regional FP&A team to ensure the top management’s strategic plan is accurately represented in the regional financial and operating plans
