The successful candidate will bring a strong background in financial accounting, with expertise in month-end processes, financial reporting, tax compliance, and ERP system implementation. This role is perfect for a qualified accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a key position within a growing organisation.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CA qualification is a must).
- 5+ years in financial accounting, with experience in month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prior experience in Big-4 audit and/or taxation strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and financial reporting software.
- In-depth understanding of AASB/IFRS, tax laws, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop junior staff while managing multiple priorities.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Business Central) and experience working with external auditors and tax advisors.

Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, including cross-company charges, taxes, and post-balance sheet events.
- Manage cash flow, providing analysis and insights together with the Financial Controller to support senior leadership decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with tax, payroll, and statutory requirements, including BAS lodgement and tax filings.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate calculations and compliance with regulations.
- Mentor and develop junior finance team members, fostering continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Support global and local audits.
