SENIOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
Summary
Natra Chocolate America is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to support the Finance Manager in managing financial operations of the company.
Job Duties
· Manage full cycle accounting, monthly and yearly closing process
· Review supplier/vendor invoices ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
· Prepare bank reconciliations and cash forecasts
· Perform intercompany reconciliations, resolving differences in a timely manner
· Prepare monthly financial reports and analyze results against budget/targets
· Oversee biweekly payroll, including reviewing data entry liaising with the HR department
· Prepare HST, WSIB and corporate tax returns, reconciliation and remittances
· Provide information and supporting documents to both internal and external auditors
· Support Finance Manager in preparation of budget and quarterly forecasts
· Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, provincial and federal regulations, codes and specifications
· Adhere to all prescribed Regulatory and Company requirements for Occupational Health, Safety and Environment, Food Safety and Quality Systems, HACCP, Sanitation and GMP’s
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, CPA designation is a strong preference.
· 5+ years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing/ food processing business.
Requirements
· Sound knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS.
· Demonstrated analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently, using sound judgement and under strict deadlines.
· Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
· Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications (proficiency in Excel).
· Experience with ERP Systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferable) is an asset
Wages and Hours:
· Salary Range: $75,000 to $95,000
· This full-time position has a 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday.
