Description:
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Accounting team at Pushpay. This is a hybrid work opportunity based out of our brand new Auckland CBD office on Shortland Street.

REQUIREMENTS
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years accounting experience, preferably within the Big 4 OR 1-2 years post QA qualification with experience within a large, complex and high-performing finance function.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with enterprise accounting & finance systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite (preferred), Adaptive etc
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly - both in writing and orally
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and demands
- Room to develop relationship building and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially focused individual that embraces change and can work in a high intensity fast paced environment
Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for a number of significant Finance and Accounting work streams and deliverables for the Pushpay Group, with a key focus on month-end process, reconciliations, transfer pricing and enhancements. Reporting to the Group Accounting Manager, you will work closely with the local and global Accounting team, Finance team, CFO (US based) and the wider business.
- Month end process across the NZ and US subsidiaries of the Group
- Monthly balance sheet and payroll reconciliations
- Responsible for short term & management incentive calculations for the Group
- Ensure accurate maintenance of intangibles and fixed assets registers
- Involvement in the accounting of R&D spend, project reporting, capitalized software treatment and adherence to IAS 38
- Involvement in Global R&D Tax Incentive calculations adherence to relevant tax authority requirements
- Preparation of financial statements
- Transfer pricing and intercompany loans management
- Assist with annual financial statement audit
- Assistance with the preparation of board reporting
- Coaching and mentoring junior team members
- Ad-hoc project work
