Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst will partner closely with the Patient Services organization to establish financial strategies to ensure the success of the Canadian Commercial business. The role supports all financial planning & analysis activities with respect to Actuals, Plan, Update, Long Range Plan, monthly Forecast, and ad-hoc analysis as needed to support day-to-day operations and strategic plans.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in Finance and/or Accounting
- Ability to work well as part of a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, with ability to work independentl
- Ability to take initiative and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Solid understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Experience with large scale ERP and planning systems such as BPC and SAP preferred

Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end close activities including P&L review and variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, headcount reporting, as well as a monthly management report package
- Support the planning process for all P&L expense areas such as marketing, promotion, sales force, etc.
- Responsible for tracking of promotional/non-promotional and co-pay budgets and analysis of monthly actual financial results for the responsible franchises, including comparisons against Plan/Update/Forecast to highlight risks and opportunities.
- Operate independently to prepare relevant variance analysis for each planning cycle and develop meaningful management reporting schedules
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis and participate on project teams as required.
- Interact with all levels of management to communicate financial implications and guidance
