Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN THIS ROLE:

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the implementation, maintenance, design and the monitoring of all the aspects of our ICFR program (SOX), as well as assisting in the preparation of financial statements, MD&A and other quarterly reports, including preparation and review of certain month-end close processes, accounting memos, financial planning and analysis as well as process improvement and special projects.

MORE SPECIFICALLY, HERE ARE SOME OF THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the overall ICFR program, including the risk assessment, the design, and the testing of internal controls.
  • Update documentation of the RCM (narratives, control descriptions, results of testing, compensatory procedures).
  • Assist in the implementation of certification process and remediation plan, and coordination with the external audit firm to maintain SOX compliance.
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements as well as management discussion and analysis and audit committee presentation, coordinating with external audit firms in quarterly review and year-end audits.
  • Preparation of cash flow forecasts and assisting with working capital management.
  • Researching, documenting, and reviewing the Company’s accounting policies in accordance with IFRS, including writing accounting memos for complex transactions
  • Assist in other special projects, such as financing, supporting external auditors, systems integrations/automation, ad hoc reporting requirements, and SOX requirements.
  • Participating in the preparation of quarterly tax provisions and ad hoc tax project.
