Description:

Our mission is to increase the success rate of small businesses. Traditional banking has been a growth limiter rather than a growth enabler for business owners, and we’re changing that. Relay is the all-in-one, collaborative money management platform. We’re building for employer SMBs and their finance function, internal and external, and are focused on delivering a human-centric customer experience. Ultimately, we help SMBs be ‘on the money’.
We are hiring our first Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A who will play a key role in establishing the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function within our Finance & Accounting team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a pivotal part in supporting and developing aspects of our budgeting and forecasting processes as we continue our rapid expansion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional financial modeling skills, and the ability to provide strategic insights that drive business decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and partner with leaders to develop and refine annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Conduct detailed financial analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather data for accurate forecasting and provide insights for strategic decision-making
  • Prepare variance analyses and communicate financial drivers to internal stakeholders as part of the month-end closing process
  • Maintain standardized reports and dashboards to monitor KPIs and financial metrics
  • Assist in creating multi-year business plans and conduct financial modeling for strategic decisions
  • Identify process inefficiencies, lead improvements, and implement best practices in financial planning
  • Provide recommendations to enhance long-term organizational success and evaluate the financial impact of new opportunities
  • Provide decision support through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses to support special projects, and strategic initiatives, and assess the financial impact of business opportunities
