Description:

SPECIFICALLY, YOU WILL:

  • Work with Business Services partners to identify performance drivers, risks and opportunities, and communicate recommendations to drive decision-making through analytics.
  • Prepare month-end entries and accruals, month-end variance analysis and commentaries vs budget and forecasts, and analyze weekly/monthly reports and reconciliations related to Business Services department.
  • Build financial models and perform quantitative analysis to evaluate past performance and current trends, with the objective of influencing decision-making.
  • Perform financial modelling, simulations, sensitivity analysis, and testing.
  • Provide analytical support to financial forecasts and operating plans.
  • Compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate with other analytical departments across the organization to bring new tools, data, and approaches to drive increasingly insightful recommendations across the company.
  • Communicate findings to senior management, summarizing complex models in a way that can be easily understood by non-technical stakeholders.
  • Create and communicate reporting, presentations, dashboards and business commentary for senior leadership.Engage in an ongoing pursuit to improve accuracy of financial forecasts across the different business units.

Responsibilities:

As the Senior Financial Analyst, Business Services you will be responsible for providing insightful analysis and recommendations to influence initiatives in the business, you will play a key role in the annual operating budget, forecasting and multi-year planning process and will support programs and the Leadership team by providing evidence based-analysis for effective decision-making. You will also be responsible for financial metric assessments across key financials (P&L and Balance Sheet) and will provide ongoing leadership and financial support to an assigned portfolio of programs from a forecasting and financial planning perspective as well as identify trends and opportunities to drive performance across business units. You will also provide thought leadership in the development of financial systems and reporting tools, adopting and changing them as business and the industry changes and grows.
