JOB DESCRIPTION: SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

Location: Bogota, Colombia

Reports To: FP&A Manager Latam HQ

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance; preferably at least 1 year in a senior-level role.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Adaptability to broader financial management is essential.
  • Skills: Advanced Excel; VBA/Python/Power BI/SQL/Tableau a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work in a team, manage multiple tasks, and take initiative. Intermediate English.

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a key role in the financial analysis, operational efficiency, and financial reporting of our regional digital hub. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will actively participate in cost allocation, financial performance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement. You will be a key point of contact between the hub and other financial and commercial areas, ensuring accurate financial reporting and contributing to strategic decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial Analysis and Cost Control:


    • Evaluate and optimize the cost allocation of the digital hub, ensuring accurate cost assignment and proposing process improvements.

    • Conduct in-depth analysis of the hub’s financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to optimize profitability.
    • Budgetary Management and Reporting:


      • Lead the development of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.

      • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports to inform management on financial performance, analyzing variances between budget and actual execution.
      • Compliance and Financial Records:


        • Coordinate with the Accounting team to ensure the correct accounting of operating and personnel costs, ensuring that records are kept up-to-date and accurate.

        • Ensure compliance with internal regulations, IFRS accounting principles, and SOX requirements.
        • Provide support in internal and external audits, ensuring the integrity of financial information.
        • Operational and Administrative Management:


          • Manage invoicing and reconciliation of amounts receivable from OpCos.

          • Supervise due diligence for the creation of suppliers in accounting systems.
          • Coordinate the timely signing of contracts and other administrative processes with suppliers and strategic partners.
          • Ensure correct reporting of hours worked by monitoring timesheets and optimizing resource allocation.
          • Process Improvement and Deep Analysis:


            • Contribute to the identification and implementation of improvements in the hub’s financial and accounting processes, seeking to optimize operational efficiency.

            • Actively participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses, applying analytical skills to solve complex problems, support strategic decision-making, and provide data-driven solutions.
            • Cross-functional Collaboration:


              • Work closely with Nexus, Finance, and Agency teams, facilitating information exchange and ensuring proper communication between areas.

              • Act as a point of contact between the unit and financial and commercial areas, responding to inquiries, managing invoice tracking, and approvals.
