SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting.
  • Master’s in Business Administration and/or CA/CPA and/or CMA preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, including exposure to manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to receive assignments in form of objectives with goals and process to meet goals outlined.
  • Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule forms.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence, Accounting software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Solid account background and strong demonstrated communication skills.
  • Fluent Oral and written English language skills for high level reporting and meetings
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving, good communication skills, precise work style and able to cope with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization while keeping a clear understanding of the objectives and financial commitments of the businesses.
  • Superior technical financial skills, hands on data modelling skills, balanced with sound business judgment, including the ability to balance financial and operational factors, analyze complex business problems and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Very strong Business Intelligence (e.g. Power BI) and Excel skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers or other internal customers
  • Very good German and English skills (written and spoken)

Responsibilities:

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Under the direction of the Finance Director the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the proper preparation of Financial- and Management Reports as well as providing guidance and advice to the global management and supporting the business decisions on transparent data.
Coordination of innovative planning processes and managing the business units financial affairs to maximize long-term profits, ROI and total return to Nordson shareholders. Responsible for appraising operating results in terms of costs, budgets, policies of operations, trends and driving increased profit opportunities.
Drive profitable growth by enhancing the availability of data management and analysis focused on Strategic Discipline, Customer Success and Continuous Improvement elements of NBS Next

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for overseeing all operational areas effecting the business including planning and forecasting, Asset Management and ad-hoc analysis as required.
  • Interprets operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the corporation and makes specific recommendations which will result in cost reduction and profit improvement.
  • Preparation of P&L and balance sheet for business, including the analytical charts and graphs showing progress of conditions and results.
  • Support the coordination of the accuracy, completeness and timing of the Operating Plan and Strategic Plan processes, including identifying key issues, objectives, risks and opportunities.
  • Provide Financial Analysis and Support to the organization, including capital expenditure justification and analysis, sales trend analysis, competitive and market analysis and product line P&L development.
  • Reviews financial statements, explains variances and presents financial information to management
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, P&L and financial trends in order to assist Business Leadership in performing their responsibilities.
  • Work with business and functional teams on identifying cost reduction opportunities and help with bottom-line savings.
  • Utilizes appropriate financial analysis techniques, data and prudent assumptions to evaluate investment opportunities and ensures healthy return on investments while managing risks
  • Consolidate and ensure the integrity of data for all PPS entities
  • Develop processes for effective data analysis and reporting
  • Manage and report quarterly NBS Next metrics heatmap
  • Administers, develops and improves FP&A and control policies, procedures, work processes and reporting systems to support growth and efficiency, while reducing complexity and increasing speed.
