National Broadband Ireland (NBI) is currently accepting applications for the role of Senior Financial Analyst to join their growing team!
KEY OBJECTIVES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Manage & maintain project cost reporting & analysis as well as the preparation and submission of the financial support workings needed to achieve project milestones
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in numbers and managing complex excel based workings
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within similar analytical role
- Qualified accountant with large firm training and experience (preferable but not mandatory)
- Experience in the construction/telecommunications/utilities industries (preferable but not mandatory)
- Ability to collaborate and work in a cross functional environment and build relationships internally.
- Experience in developing and improving processes in order to gain efficiencies. Proactively look to simplify work and find ways to do work better and faster and always look for solutions in the face of uncertainty and change
- Experience in developing and delivering reporting to support decision making.
- Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to connect with people
- Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done. Be willing and able to “roll up sleeves” and apply them self to any task.
- Driven personality with a strong team ethic.
- Excellent ambassador for NBI, promoting the organisation and role modelling NBI’s values.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain cost reporting and produce insightful analysis to support on-going programme cost management
- Work with key business units to undertake the production of support workings to meet milestones required under the Project Agreement
- Provide support in tracking and closing queries with NBI’s key Government stakeholder
- Support developing contractual guidance and direction to enhance commercial and business operations
- Maintain reporting for each deployment project to understand variances and subsidy adjustments
- Be a finance champion in cross-functional process development ensuring solid governance is in place
