Responsibilities:

The Senior Financial Analyst, Tax will be responsible for supporting the Company’s Canadian and US income and commodity tax compliance requirements. This includes the preparation of various Canadian income tax returns and providing support for the preparation of US Federal and State income and commodity tax returns. You will also support the accounting for income taxes under IFRS, including preparation of quarterly and annual current and deferred income tax provisions.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Prepare Canadian corporate income tax returns (T2) and partnership information returns (T5013).
  • Coordinate and supply information for US federal and state corporate income tax returns, along with foreign reporting forms for Canada and other jurisdictions.
  • Manage the coordination of income tax payments and instalments. Oversee the coordination of SR&ED tax credit documentation and the filing of federal and provincial SR&ED tax returns.
  • Provide necessary information to support all corporate income tax and commodity tax audits by government authorities.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provisions under IFRS for all legal entities.
  • Supply information to external auditors regarding income tax provisions.
  • Conduct research and analysis on income tax and commodity tax issues.
