JOB SUMMARY:

This is a full-time Senior Financial Analyst role located in Mississauga, ON, with flexibility for some remote work.
The senior financial analyst will be responsible for full cycle accounting with some exposure to financial reporting, and FP&A. This role will also involve working closely with stakeholders to analyze financials and provide insights to support business decision-making.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Assist in month end close process, preparing routine and adjusting journal entries for multiple divisions, including FX revaluations, accruals, prepaids.
  • Review right of use asset and lease liabilities ensuring transactions are accounted for accordingly.
  • Assist in creating a revised bank reconciliation process, to alleviate month end close process
  • Assist in reviewing PPV variances to ensure they are accounted properly.
  • Assist in providing insights into variances on revenue and gross profit against budget and PY
  • Prepare & analyze balance sheet reconciliations by division
  • Reconciliation of subledgers to GL control accounts; investigate and resolve variances
  • Intercompany transactions & reconciliations for various entities
  • Assist with monthly HST filings
  • Banking – ACH/EFT, positive pay. Assist in setting up ACH/EFT, while monitoring daily banking.
  • Analysis of financial statements
  • Support budget process
  • Support audits
  • Assist in maintaining accounting policies and procedures /internal controls

REQUIREMENTS:

  • CPA designation
  • Very knowledgeable in Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable customization
  • Good understanding of the monthly accounting cycle
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, supporting of team members
