WBUR is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Finance and Administration team. This newly created position will play a crucial role in forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning. The ideal candidate will possess the business acumen to understand the importance of simplifying complex financial information that is clear and concise to drive awareness in trends and make sound business decisions.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Financial Analyst supports monthly analysis of WBUR’s financial performance to align with our mission and our business objectives. The Sr. Financial Analyst will provide long-term modeling scenarios, create and analyze profit and loss statements across the wide range of WBUR offerings. Further the role connects, where appropriate, financial results to audience growth, size, and strategic goals to assist the organization in identifying areas of optimal return.
The selected candidate is expected to have significant expertise with current financial technologies, including but not limited to SAP, and exceptional Microsoft Excel skills. Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau is also required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience in a financial analytic role.
  • Proven experience in building financial exhibits that are clear and concise and represent their purpose and objectives to drive business awareness and decisions.
  • Financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting experience.
  • Financial modeling and analysis experience.
  • Ability to dive deep into and manipulate data, identify and analyze trends, KPI-s and business drivers.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated success of working in teams and ability to span across all levels.
  • Motivated with ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with large sets of complex data
  • Strong sense of urgency and excellent follow-through
  • Proficiency with SAP and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is a benefit, but not required.
