QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Business, Finance or Accounting Degree.
  • Previous experience with minimum 5 years in a CFO role, preferably in a business of circa $20m revenue .
  • Full Current member of CAANZ or CPA with at least 10 years professional experience
  • managing multi-disciplinary teams

  • working with a Board of Directors and committees; proactively provides strategic insights to the Executive Team and the Board.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project and change management activities along with strategic and analytic thinking capability
  • High Project management and execution ability
  • Expert financial and management accounting and analytical skills.
  • Good working knowledge of current accounting standards and best practice technical accounting
  • IT strategy, systems and business process knowledge and experience in sourcing and managing IT suppliers
  • Experience in development and deployment of finance processes, systems, and controls

Responsibilities:

The Senior Financial Officer is a critical, strategic, multifaceted broad role. Key functions are:

  • Leader: member of the Executive Team, proactively providing strategic and financial insights, contributing actively to the company strategy and tactical decisions. Problem solving approach.
  • Manager: develop the CFO function and ensure succession of key positions.
  • Analyst: understand the work done by the organisation and contribute actively to optimisation of the business model. Ensure we take the right decisions based solid data and reasoning.

  • ; the design and implementation of appropriate processes and controls are in place to ensure the preparation of meaningful and reliable financial and management reports and the safeguarding of the company’s assets.
