Description:
As a Senior Financial Planning Advisor focusing on business relationship development, you work with high-net-worth clients and business clients with strategic importance to Desjardins. You make them a priority and provide a distinctive member/client experience. As an expert with a high degree of professionalism, you play a key role in financial planning and providing wealth management support. You identify needs, objectives and priorities. You also offer personalized financial, tax and estate planning strategies, recommendations and goals to high-net-worth individuals and entrepreneurs with highly complex needs. Reporting to the Financial Planning Service Department, you work closely with the financial planners on the writing team. Your communication skills will be an undeniable asset in your relationship with your partner writer. Your analytical skills and thoroughness when reviewing files will ensure your recommendations are relevant. The nature of the files and initiatives requires excellent working knowledge of advanced financial and tax planning concepts. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Provide high-quality member/client service and experience to clients with very complex needs and high expectations
- Support wealth managers by carrying out financial planning for Desjardins Securities clients
- Collect all relevant information to identify client needs, objectives and priorities
- Develop strategies and recommendations based on an understanding of the clients’ financial situation with the help of financial planner writers
- Offer personalized financial planning advice and solutions
- Manage the delivery of financial plans according to established quality standards
- Serve as a subject matter expert for peers in your department, colleagues in Wealth Management and clients
- Develop in-depth knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of advanced financial and tax planning concepts, as well as a detailed cross-sector understanding of the organization
- Take a collaborative and proactive approach when interacting with peers, colleagues, clients and client partners

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in financial and tax planning
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience in integrated financial planning
- Specialization in taxation
- Financial planning licence from the Autorité des marchés financiers
- Knowledge of French is required
- Proficiency with financial and estate planning software and tools
