QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid driver’s license
  • ASTTBC endorsements (AL, EM, EX, WA) are required
  • Cross Connection Control (preferred)

Responsibilities:

AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Perform basic services: fire extinguishers, fire alarms, emergency lights and sprinkler systems, adhering to regulations, Fire Code and Municipality guidelines
  • Install and maintain various types of fire protection systems at customer sites
  • Troubleshoot and provide solutions to service-related problems
  • Participate in mandatory safety training and industry certifications
  • Conduct site-specific training for owners and end users
  • Complete inspection reports, associated deficiency quotes, material and labour documents.
  • Provide solutions and recommendations to customers on the most efficient and cost-effective services
  • Inspect, service and troubleshoot existing systems
  • Maintain proper handling/care of testing/inspections tools, equipment, and materials
  • Answer and address emergency calls (after-hours and on weekends)
  • Mentor / train Jr. Fire Service Technicians, as directed.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while performing quality inspections.
  • Perform code-compliant inspections of addressable and conventional systems
  • Understand and practice applicable NFPA codes and standards
  • Submit applicable forms and reports as per EFP policy, using various programs
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures set by Escape Fire Protection.
  • Other duties as assigned.
