Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fixed asset accounting, preferably in the hospitality, leisure, or sports industry.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Thorough understanding of fixed asset accounting principles, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fixed asset management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends and anomalies.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative to drive process improvements.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Arabia’s regulatory environment and taxation laws related to fixed assets is a plus.
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic languages is required.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fixed Assets Officer to join our team in the dynamic golf sector in Saudi Arabia. The Senior Fixed Assets Officer will be responsible for overseeing the management of fixed assets within the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and optimization of asset utilization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fixed asset accounting, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of fixed assets, including acquisition, tracking, depreciation, and disposal, in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Conduct regular physical audits and reconcile fixed asset records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and maintain detailed asset registers, including descriptions, locations, acquisition costs, depreciation schedules, and valuations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve discrepancies, discrepancies, and variances related to fixed assets.
  • Monitor capital expenditures and ensure proper classification and capitalization of assets in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports and schedules related to fixed assets, including depreciation forecasts, impairment assessments, and asset retirement obligations.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of fixed asset management systems and software to streamline processes and enhance data integrity.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members in fixed asset accounting principles and practices.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations related to fixed assets and recommend adjustments to policies and procedures as needed.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as required.
