THE ROLE

• To assist the Flood Risk Manager in the delivery of the flood risk functions, duties and responsibilities to enable delivery of the Cheshire East Flood Risk Management Strategy
• Provide technical advice on the implementation of the Surface Water Management Plan and Local Flood Risk Strategy, including advising on the requirements for flood risk management, revenue and capital improvements and mitigation that can be implemented through the statutory planning process.
• Collaboration with strategic partners such as Environment Agency and United Utilities as required.
• Assist with regulation and technical adequacy of new development and drainage works activity.
• To assist in the investigation of flood events and to report and publish details of relevant flooding risk.
