ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a highly motivated people leader to manage, inspire and develop a large and diverse team of food and beverage team members.
In this role, you will be responsible for the operational leadership of the food and beverage delivery across all three venues here at ICC Sydney; ranging from bespoke VIP events, to Gala dinners for 2,000 delegates, exciting exhibitions and retail services across cafés, kiosks and pop up restaurants. You will:
- Foster and maintain positive client and customer relations by planning, executing and delivering Food and Beverage services for events to ensure the expectations of clients are met;
- Drive customer-focused services, ensuring that service delivery is timely, effective and efficient;
- Ensure coordination and liaise with various departments to plan the culinary related logistics for an event;
- Provide leadership, support, coaching and guidance to a diverse world-class team of food and beverage team members including performance management;
- Assist with the scheduling and coordination of daily operational front of house staffing requirements;
- Assist with the recruitment, training, and mentorship of our high-performing Food and Beverage team.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Valid NSW RSA Competency card – essential.
- Food Safety Supervisor certificate – desirable.
- Minimum four years industry experience including two years in a management role.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a high level of customer service.
- Experience with managing a large diverse team desirable
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role walking more than 10,000 steps each day across our precinct.
- Valid working rights in Australia.
- You must be 18 years or over.
